Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican American broadcaster. She works as an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation at times. She was hired by ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. From the age of nine, Collins's ability to communicate in two languages allowed her to get the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant production at Univision. The next position she was offered was an Sports Reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, the reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. The anchor also worked in similar roles as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' grandparents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The family moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. There is also an older sibling. The family moved to Miami after moving out of Mexico to the US. In 1992, her parents separated then shortly thereafter in 1995 she was remarried Fabio Fajardo, naval engineer, who passed away in 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. When on vacation Antonietta spent the time at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed the job of his dreams. Antonietta was just graduating from high school, however she knew what she was going to do. It was a beautiful campus as well as offered the level of education she sought. After completing her studies, she was accepted to the University as a major in media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a member of her class, developed an ongoing relationship with the student. Mark Bergmann inspired her to be self-confident and his passion in journalism was a huge influence on her, and she in turn, strived to fulfill his standards and never fail him.
